In 1998, SLAYER released their most controversial and polarizing album : Diabolus In Musica. To the horror of their fans, the album flirted with bouncy "Nu Metal" song stylings and even borderline rapping vocals. Cries of "sellout" and "traitors" echoed throughout the underground and caused many of their longtime supporters to jump ship and never come back. Now, 28 years after its release, SINFUL BASTARD RECORDS and REEK OF DEATH RECORDS deliver the album that was meant to be : Diabolus By Design.

Removed are the experimental songs that plagued the album (and were forced upon them by their label and management as discussed in the extensive liner notes) and in their place are the original tracks that fell into obscurity, which only diehard fans even knew existed.

Featuring extensive album history and liner notes, rare photos, lyrics to every song, 2 tracks from the extremely rare "Unmastered" promo cassette given out by SLAYER's management in 1997 and brand new artwork based on the original album's imagery and presentation.
